Cerritos high school located in Cerritos is where she received her degree from. She graduated in 1986 from California State University Dominguez Hill (CSUDH) with the degree of Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism, minoring in Sociology and Theatre. Ullerup performed the role of Julia Brynn in the 2006 remake of Battlestar Galactica, which was broadcast through the Sci Fi Channel. The first two seasons of Sanctuary the actress played Ashley Magnus until the character was deleted. She was the subject of intense debate among people who wanted her be back in the future on shows. However, Sanctuary ended up being ended in the year 2012. Ullerup played the role of Bree O'Brien on Chesapeake Shores in the year 2016. Ullerup played Maggie Thomas the estranged husband of Michael Thomas. Ullerup also played Dale Travers, a recurring actor on Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films from 2016 until the present.
