Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and singer, began with a series of ribbing quips about sexual identities, racial identity and gender. Before expanding to Hollywood she came out with the rap track series. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her very first musical experience. She performed on the trumpet. Later, she began traditional and hip-hop training. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism, and women's studies, and was doing Mandarin in Beijing for a time. After graduating, she began to focus on music. In 2012, her song My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet before settling on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. Some other hits that went viral included Queef track, and the witty NYC Bitchecity tour. The latter track was linked to her other venture, Awkwafina's NYC A travel guide that was released in the year 2015. She decided to pursue acting careers following the completion of her previous two initiatives, as a writer and musician. She has appeared in films such as Neighbors 2 Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018, she was able to land breakthrough performances in a variety of notable films, including Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP premiered in June.
